Today a very exciting event took place in our family....we are now the proud owners of a ping pong table! A huge thanks to Will's dad for coming up to Manhattan today to help get the table from the store to our house. And another big thanks to Charlie for helping Will get the table actually into the basement. Winning!
The whole family really enjoyed playing ping pong on vacation last week and we talked about maybe looking for a table sometime. Will swung by Dick's Sporting Goods yesterday and found that not only was this ping pong table 50% off, you could take an additional $100 off if you purchased the floor model. Clearly, this was way too good of a bargain to pass up. Of course, purchasing the floor model comes with a catch - you have to actually be able to get it home, and it was too big to fit in our van. Cue Gramps to the rescue! A million thanks to him for coming up to Manhattan with his pickup today and helping Will out.
We have already enjoyed several family matches. Will is clearly the best ping pong player now, but I am determined to catch up.
In other news, we finally have evidence of a halfway decent family picture of us! Nonnie posted this on Facebook today and I stole it from her since we are all present AND everyone's eyes appear to be open.
