Exciting news in the Hageman Household...we have HEAT again. And just in time, too, given that tomorrow's forecast calls for a high of 21 and low of 10, or something equally ridiculous. Our current HVAC system bit the big one and we got our new, high-efficiency unit installed on Wednesday, just in time to miss any sort of tax benefit. ;)
The kids were SO excited by this, especially once they realized that the furnace no longer sounds like the Death Star taking off (which was somewhat terrifying since the furnace is in their playroom in the Deep Basement). And the best part? According to Annika, "we got a BLACK one this time!"

We have a sound our furnace makes that we've decided is "the man in the furnace" that still makes me a bit nervous. :) Clara doesn't seem bothered by it yet, though. I'm glad you all will be warm tonight!
