Last night, Will and I went on a date. This was extremely exciting because, if you haven't forced yourself to tune out the giant chocolate teddy bears that have been on display since the day after Christmas, it was Valentine's Day. I racked my brain and could not think of a time since having children that we have done anything as a couple on Valentine's Day itself. Our super awesome friend kept our lovely children entertained for the evening while we went to:
It was perfect because it was the only place in town NOT taking reservations and hence we could get a table. (Incidentally, did you know that if you want to eat somewhere on Valentine's Day, you actually need to call for a reservation BEFORE the day of the event?? Who knew!). We enjoyed yummy Cuban food, margaritas, and key lime pie.
I told Will at the end of the night that this was the best Valentine's Day EVER. He thought that was a little strong and we compromised that it was the best V-Day since having children, which means over 7 years. And that is pretty high praise. :)
