So that I have a record of our Christmas card for the year, because heaven knows I probably won't be able to keep track of the paper form, the image above shows our Christmas card. We used pictures from our fabulous photo shoot with our great friend Tammy.
Below is the letter that we sent. Probably anyone reading this blog has either already received a card or already knows all of this anyway, but when my memory fails in a couple of years and I can't remember 2013 at all, this might be helpful.

Dear
Family and Friends:
Merry
Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Hageman household! We had many adventures
this year and have compiled our “Top 10” moments from the year.
10.
Daniel started kindergarten this August! We love that the kids can walk
together to our neighborhood elementary school and that we now have only one
pick-up location.
9.
Annika is now in 4th grade and joined 4-H this past winter; she was
excited to enter projects in pets (aka cats), art, and photography in her first
county fair this summer.
8.
Both of our children are taking swimming lessons and gymnastics classes, but
the true love of both of them appears to be art, especially drawing.
7.
Our whole family continues to love our church and church family. Will and Amy
continue to enjoy the chance to be involved musically through choir (Will) and
bell choir (Amy); our children sometimes participate in the children’s choirs
if they can be cajoled. We have also begun our newest adventure at church with
helping to teach 5th and 6th grade Sunday School.
6.
Will and Amy are both still assistant professors at K-State in electrical
engineering (Will) and accounting (Amy). Sometimes we even bond together with
joint late-night grading sessions.
5.
Last year saw our family with three cats, four fish, two hamsters, and one
frog. We now only have...three cats, which appear to be much easier to keep
alive than other small animals.
4.
We added a patio to our backyard this summer, but it still has no furniture.
3.
Will and Amy have both enjoyed running in road races this year. Will had foot
surgery over a year ago, which has enabled him to finally be able to get back
into running; his highlights this year include a 25K trail race and a half
marathon. Amy has been running a road race every month, with the goal not so
much of improvement but of stimulating the local economy.
2.
We went on several family vacations this year, including trips to a YMCA camp
in Colorado this winter and summer, a trip to South Dakota, and a road trip to
and from California that covered 11 states. The kids are unanimous in their
favorite part of our travels: Las Vegas.
1.
Will and Amy have lived in our current house in Manhattan since June 2010,
which is the longest we have ever been in any residence as a married couple.
We
hope that all is well with you and your families! Thank you for being such
special people in our lives.
